GoonStreet battle screen from inside the game. A live match on the SIMX market shows a red price line falling to 34.20, markers for hidden market events, a hidden event with 25 seconds left, Buy and Short buttons, and seven ability buttons: Blackout, Trade Fees, Positive Event, Negative Event, Pump & Dump, Dump & Pump, and Volatility Spike.

02How we build

Fast markets need a serious engine.

Real time
.NET 10 and SignalR push every price tick to every player the moment it happens.
Money that sticks
Every trade is flushed to an append-only journal on disk before any balance changes.
Everywhere
Blazor in the browser, plus a desktop build from the same code.
Small and deliberate
One issue per change, small pull requests, and a shared wiki updated alongside the code.

03Build log

What landed lately.

  1. Volatility Spike joins the battle abilities.

  2. Battle intel gets cheaper the longer you wait for it.

  3. Balances and holdings go real. Every trade is written to disk before the game shows it.

  4. Companies, friends, DMs and private chat rooms.

  5. Lobbies and matchmaking.

  6. Battle mode moves onto the real price engine.

  7. Voting now needs an account, after 25 anonymous connections moved a ticker 26% in eight seconds.
